Burst Pipe in bedroom wall
Solutions provided:
When the Dry Out Systems technician arrived at the residence, they found a burst pipe in the bedroom wall, causing extensive water damage to the Bedroom and the bedroom closet. The crew first applied floor protection to all areas not affected that may be damage due to traffic. Thermal imaging and moisture detection equipment was used to create a water path which allows the technicians to accurately place drying equipment. Photos were then taken to document the water loss for the customer. The process was explained and documents were signed to give DOS permission to proceed. The crew then completed a water extraction to remove any standing water, techs removed wet affected baseboard, they applied an Microban anti-microbial to minimize any microbial-growth (Mold) and placed the proper amount of drying equipment in the rooms according to the IICRC S500 industry standards. Once coverage was verified, remaining affected materials were removed and a HEPA vacuum was used to minimize dust generation and aerosolization of potentially hazardous materials. Negative air was set up to protect the our customers from potentially harmful particulates that may have become airborne. Daily logs and photos were taken to monitor the atmospheric readings and moisture content of the affected materials. Once the dry standard was met the equipment was removed and the home was ready for the contractor to restore to pre-loss condition.
